Your Role at Red Door Woodfired Grill

At Red Door Woodfired Grill, the Dishwasher is an essential part of our culinary team and the foundation of our kitchen’s success. This role ensures our operation runs smoothly by ensuring every plate, glass, and utensil reflects the quality and care behind The Best Little Upscale Neighborhood Joint. The Dishwasher takes pride in organization, efficiency, and cleanliness—upholding the standards that allow our chefs and servers to deliver unforgettable experiences to our guests. This position is more than washing dishes; it’s about being part of a team that takes pride in every detail, from the first prep to the last plate.

 

YOUR IMPACT AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment to Red Door standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish area, kitchen floors, and back-of-house stations.
  • Operate and maintain dish machines safely and efficiently, ensuring proper chemical levels and water temperatures.
  • Keep clean dishes stocked and accessible for the culinary and service teams throughout the shift.
  • Assist with waste management, including trash removal, recycling, and proper disposal of food waste.
  • Support the culinary team by cleaning prep tools, pans, and small wares as needed.
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and food handling standards, including proper storage and labeling procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with the culinary team to ensure seamless operations during busy service periods.
  • Assist with closing duties, including cleaning floors, drains, mats, and equipment.
  • Uphold Red Door’s professional standards in appearance, teamwork, and work ethic.

Required Skills

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods and lift to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with heat and moisture.
  • Prior kitchen experience preferred but not required.
  • Must maintain cleanliness, professionalism, and teamwork throughout the shift.
